Pride Parade 2007

Once again a fabulous time was had by all. The weather was perfect, the live music was great and the food was devoured by the mitt full. I even have a war wound in the form of a bruised and broken toe that was stomped on by a hulking drag queen – you would think if you took the time to dress up like version of Scary Spice you could at least practice walking in giant heels…still even with the ice pack the Gay Pride Parade continues to be the best party Toronto throws. Various news media give a different attendance record…generally the more conservative the station the less people turned out…but lets call it an even million. From the view from my balcony, it looked like more than last year but at this point – does the number of people really matter? Hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world were there and no one got shot and no one died…no heart attacks, no over doses…just a great time in beautiful weather.
